Wedding Photojournalism
If you can see it in your mind or feel it in your heart,
you can put it on film! by Monte

Dictionary definition: the recording of images, that which tells a story of an event or
occurrence. A diary of photographs of what a person(s) does, thinks, feels and
notices. Usually, this refers to a newspaper, magazine, or other periodical.

My definition of Wedding Photo Journalism: photo journalism by Phil Royal is
being observant to your surroundings at all times, being there and being ready to
capture the moment in real time. The responsibility to capture the events as they
happen in a non-obtrusive way. To capture the feelings, emotions, joys and expressions
of the bride, groom, their families and their closest friends as it unfolds through out the day.

   Emotions expressions Joys Feelings

       Love expressions emotions expressions

I have specialized in journalism for the past eight years. It has developed into
art that I've worked hard at perfecting. I believe I have come a long way in a short time.
Several years ago I've invested in the first professional digital camera, however, it took a
number of years before it was perfected before going all digital. Yes, digital is here and with
the right camera so is the quality. Now I have two digital cameras and a variety of lens to
capture the right moment. Digital allows me to shoot an unlimited number of photos and selecting
only those photos worthy of telling a story. It also allows me to be more creative, gives the bride
and groom more choices and with digital you can have color and/or black and white of any
photograph.
In summary, photo journalism is now being demanded by more and more brides and it
is the professional photographers responsibility to provide the best coverage possible. That's
what it is all about, that's what I'm all about. Photography is my passion and I will continue
to strive to be the best in the business and provide a quality product while maintaining
superb service.

Stay tuned, year 2007 will be another exciting and challenging year. As long as the passion is there I
will continue to photograph people.
